Picking the Right Mascara Color

Even though there are fancy colors for mascara on the market, the reality is that a black or brown shade highlights the eye best. If you are a brunette, black looks the best. If you are blonde, brown is better. If you want your eyes to stand out, without people knowing why, use a mascara color that is closest to your eye lashes. This will thicken your lashes and keep them looking natural.

Answers to mascara sensitivities

a- Exercising: Many mascara brands on the market run when they are exposed to moisture which causes chemicals to enter the eye and cause irritation. LashSense® by SeneGence™ has a unique formulation which caresses each lash, preventing the mascara from running or clumping even under the high stress of exercise.

b-Penetrating: Conventional mascaras are primarily oil-based paints. Since oil penetrates the skin, most mascaras can bring their inpurities to the root of the lash. LashSense® mascara has as the first component water. The proprietary blend of components enable it to be long lasting on eye lashes. It is always advised that you take it off at the end of the day.

c- Rubbing too hard to remove: Since traditional mascaras leave a tint that requires excessive rubbing in order to remove, the skin around the eye becomes irritated. The skin around the eye is more delicate than the rest of the face and continual rubbing will cause irritation. In order to remove LashSense® Foops!™ remover is mixed with water and applied to the eye lid. Foops!™ remover desolves the mascara allowing you to gently wipe it away.

LashSense® is formulated to last all day while not clumping under your eyes. This allows for a natural look. It is a great solution to conventional mascaras for women with sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers. However, as with all cosmetic products, the user must monitor her body’s reaction and discontinue using a given product should any irritation occur.

When to Curl the eye lashes

Curling your lashes with a heated eyelash curler will deliver the best results in both look and length of hold. After the lashes have been curled, apply LashSense® mascara to hold the curl even longer in place. Apply one coat and see the results. For thicker lashes, allow the first coat to dry before applying a second coat. This approach will make even short sparse lashes look wonderful!

Lash Growth Information

It is a popular misconception that eyelashes grow in a straight line when in fact they grow in two or three irregular rows.   The fullest growth occurs at the center of each eye lid.   In about 10 weeks, a lash will reach full length. Each lash lives only from three to five months before falling out. Just like the hairs on your head, there isn't anything that can be done to stimulate eyelash growth. The best thing to do is to enhance the lashes you have.

The benefits of curling lashes

Straight lashes tend to make the eyes look smaller. When they are curled upward, more of the iris is revealed and the eyes appear to be larger and more brilliant. To achieve a wide-eyed effect, grip the hairs gently with the eyelash curler, hold them there for thirty seconds and then release them. For a more well-defined look, release the grip to move to a new position two or three times. Eyeglass wearers will love how the curled eyelashes don't brush up against the lenses.

Preventing mascara from drying out

Try not to pump the product. When you pump it, air gets into the container and drys the product faster. Simply turn the want while it is still in the pump and pull it out. Pumping in and out will ruin the mascara.

Sleeping with Mascara

LashSense® formulation will allow you to sleep with your mascara on without it flaking, running or smudging but it is not recommended to sleep with it on.  Leaving any mascara on for extended periods of time may cause your lashes to dry out and break.  In order to keep your lashes healthy any product needs to be removed before sleeping.

Applying Mascara

There are several schools of thought. Some people say you should lightly stroke the lashes from the base of the lash to the tip. I have found that if you jiggle the brush as you stroke from the base to the tip you get a more consistent looking lash. So you can try it for yourself to make your own decision.
